
Rockstar has suggested that some of it will come in the form of GTA Online content, but it's also entirely probable that there's something much bigger on the horizon. The acclaimed developer also confirmed that it would have "fun surprises" for GTA 3's anniversary, which added more fuel to the fire. It's also possible that the alleged remaster is coming next year, but it's unclear whether or not Rockstar wants to time it with the anniversary.


Rockstar doesn't typically attend E3, so it seems likely that any announcement would be made during a time where there aren't any significant events taking up the industry news cycles, if it does happen. Whether or not Take-Two would count the trilogy as one title or three different games is unclear, but fans believe the rumors are starting to gain some truth. Nothing has been confirmed, but this only adds fuel to the fire. Previous rumors suggest that the GTA PS2 trilogy is being remade as part of a way to celebrate Grand Theft Auto 3's upcoming 20th anniversary in October.
